The Relational Generational Christ

Who is Jesus? Do we worship the same Jesus as our parents? Is Jesus a straight-laced conservative who doesn't play cards, who doesn't drink alcohol, who doesn't like drums and electric guitar? Or is Jesus a hip cool stylin' guy who listens to music that is hyper modern, drinks high class beers occasionally, and gets tattooed? Is it possible that he is both? I think the important part is that people come to Jesus, and that is why we have so many different types of Christians. Maybe someone needs that uber stylized modern Christ to be able to relate and come to him. While someone else may need a more traditionalized environment such as Catholicism to meet their savior. Is it possible that we are so important to God that he would allow so many different denominations because there are so many different types of people? Just look around at all the people you see today. How many of them dress the same? Or have the same opinions on something? Why should we expect their relationship with Jesus to be uniform?

Unity.
