The Destination or The Journey

Do you look at life as a journey or a destination? I feel we are pushed to look at life as a destination starting in elementary school. We are suppose to know what we want to do when we grow up then we are suppose to go to college to get there. Already the experience of college is just a means to an end and not an end. Lately, I've been looking at life as journey. The process is as important if not more important than the outcome. What do you think?

if you focus on the destination you miss all the fun in getting there...and the lessons you will need once you get there...

Great thoughts. The journey is sometimes hard to enjoy because we want to be at the final destination. But the destination wouldn't be what it is without the journey. It's hard sometimes to stay patient and enjoy the moment, but it's worth it. Enjoyed this blog.

I'll expand my thoughts a little more. Sometimes we are faced with multiple paths or choices. Sometimes we know where the path with end up. So even if the path is unknown and the destination is one of only passing interest, it's still an easy path to take because you know where you will end up. However, some of the other paths offer unknown destinations. But the paths are ones full of things of interest, and passions. But since you do not know the outcome it's very easy to not take that path. A lot of times we choose comfort over happiness. I'm going to try and start chosing happiness and believe that because of it, whever the path leads I'll be happier there.
